Mugen Header

^lol You're using Import Tuner to make your decisions. Their's no way an OEM computer with the OEM test-pipe, will make 12whp from bolting on an exhaust; especially sense it's a dual. The HKS 75mm single only made 6whp. Just by knowing that, I have to assume everything else they tested is BS as well.
From what I've saw, they do this to EVERY part the test.

skunk2's exhaust is 70mm piping into dual 60mm's and the t1r's are 70mm piping into (don't quote me on this since it doesn't state on their website) dual 70mm pipings, "i think". maybe that's why t1r's made more power? idk.. i really don't feel like doing some more research as i've spent countless hrs researching on exhaust alone in the past. but it's always interesting to learn more though, perhaps, that's why i'm posting here.
just a silly question here though. was import tuner being paid from those manufacturers to dyno test their products on those pages? ie.. AEM, SKUNK2, 5ZIGEN etc.. if so, then i would probably steer away from import tuner from now on.

so i guess we can call evasivemotorsports.com bs too since they got a dual exhaust that made 14whp with OEM puter and OEM cat? here's a link to their website http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/me...a_S2000_Intake

isn't import tuning considered "third party" since they don't work for neither of said companies and aren't they reliable enough? i'm not trying to convince you otherwise, just asking.

I am late to this party and have very little to add but here is my $.02......
I bought a Mugen header used for $600 to add to my car, which has a supercharger, well, for no reason other than to add something that might help and was a cheap used part. I also have a goal to take about 100 pounds off the car since the sc added about 100 and here was the first ten.
It is about 10 pounds lighter than the stock header and over the years I found about three or four dyno tests that made more power in the midrange on a stock car.
I do not notice that it changes the exhaust note on the car (stock exhaust with berk cat)but you do hear more tinny sounding noise from the engine bay because the walls of the piping is thinner than stock.
I don't know if it ever made any power difference on my car due to the SC, but it was cheap used, light and I wanted to tinker so I bought it. I can not tell you if the butt dyno felt anything because the car was in winter storage when I put it on and it was about four months since I had driven it last before I got to test out the Mugen. I have reasons to believe it will add a LITTLE to my SC'ed car in terms of power but that is an educated guess based on looking at as many dyno sheets as I can find on the web.
It is a nicely made header though.

help pls
My name is Chris. I bought an s2000 about a month ago and I love it. I am looking to make upgrades and have spent hours looking for what headers work best, but for the most part there is an even amount of people and threads saying they do something or nothing to the car. I also cant seem to find which headers work best, 4-2-1 or 4-1. I am looking to eventually supercharge, but even that some people think turbo is the only way to go. I am only trying to push around 400bhp and I saw a guy on youtube who tuned his s2k to spool at 4 or 4,5 k only so it can still be a daily driven car. My objective is to have the power but also still drive it to work. Any suggestions on headers that would work well for torque and opinions on supercharger or turbo, Thank you.
