Glad you came around to share the experience. Did you put the rebuilt one back in or went another route?

I have my AP1 for a couple of years and just getting an STR build going to learn wrenching and driving this awesome platform. Question for this thread:

I did search around, but couldn't find anyone specifically mentioning the current STR rule regarding differentials. I'm I understanding it correctly that we can compliantly compete in STR class with ANY mechanical LSD? So, it's within the rules to put an AP2 diff with Puddy Mod Stage 2 OSG 1.5 way tune to any gearing ratio in an AP1 car?

Thanks for your input.

While you can run any mechanical did you like in str you cannot run any non OEM diff parts so all the bearings, seals, ring, pinion and any other internal parts will have to be OEM. This leaves some areas of weakness mainly the ring and pinion and the crush sleeve

To add to ConeKiller2's response, you can't actually do the stage 2 at all. Not only does it include the machined collar which is non-oem (and prohibited), you can't strengthen the oem parts either (they're cryo'd in the stage 2).

You're correct. I've moved on in terms of classing though, so I went ahead and did modifications with it. I've updated my post to clarify that, so it's not confusing for future readers.
