After some tweaking last week, we are now confident in the finished setup.
With nearly 30% extra braking force plus the additional cooling of the vented two piece disks I'm very pleased with them!

No it doesnt, mine has never worked.I ended up having an hydraulic convesion on it.

I broke 2 cables trying to pull the handbrake on enough to just hold it on a gentle slope.I had the rear calipers modded by HiSpec, adjusted it exactly how they told me and i still managed to snap the second cable as described above.....Look for an alternative rear setup because its a Mot failiure.

This is some thread revival. But shows good use of "Search" function.

I would not have imaged the kit to be that great, considering it doesn't seem to be on any car's I've seen, and just the fact this thread died back in 2010!

I would love to add a bbk for the rear on mine, but issue is hand brake.
Mr-Pitts, which callipers are you using, and guessing you are using 2? one for standard and one handbrake only?

Im using the stock HiSpec rear caliper but the handbrake function is redundant.Ive got an Alcon duel circuit master cyl the a specially adapted handbrake fitting so i keep the original handbrake lever. It looks completly stock but there is some clever work under the skin.Designed by Matty, fitted by Daytona Dave.

Did you have some pictures of these solution?

So, that sounds to me like a big fail construction from HiSpec, not realy good

I'm very interested in these brake because its the only one that had the handbrake solution and the brakecaliper is very light. But when the handbrake doesn't work it's not interesting for me.

I dont have any pics but fitting an Hydraulic system is do-able tho not that easy..Isnt there a Rx7 conversion that uses bigger discs?
