FOR SALE & WANT TO TRADE RULES
Taken from Mid-A as well. Thanks Gilly for sharing these. Please share feedback. We will adapt these rules to suit our community as time goes on.
FOR SALE THREAD RULES:
1. You MUST be a paying member in good standing of S2Ki.com to post in the Upstate NY For Sale forums. See here for more information on joining the site: S2ki Membership
1a. YOUR THREAD TITLE MUST BEGIN WITH THE PREFIX FS: OR WTT:
1b.AFTER YOUR ITEM(S) ARE SOLD, PLEASE LOCK YOUR THREAD!
2. There are to be NO third-party for sale threads. You may only sell your own property.
3. When making a For Sale post, please include the following information:
Name:
Location:
Means of Contact: BEST NOT TO LEAVE PHONE NUMBER
Description:
Price plus OBO is acceptable but no listings without an asking price.
Pictures should be posted in the thread (not a requirement but they really help)
If you post only a link to another thread, your thread will be locked until you modify it to meet the rules.
4. You MUST POST A PRICE. NO "testing the waters" or "gauging interest" or "feeler" threads, and no PM for offer or auction style threads will be permitted. You have made the decision to sell so you must state an asking price.
5. Negative comments about a person or their parts will be edited/deleted; this includes "helpful" pricing advice. If you have evidence that the seller is a con artist or a bad seller, PM a CO and they will take the appropriate action.
6. Please do not post offers publicly, your post will be edited/deleted. Send the seller a PM instead.
7. Do not spam your parts in other people's for sale threads. If you have something to sell, start your own thread.
8. Ideally, we would like you to only have ONE open For Sale Thread at a time. Multiple items should go into the single thread. Exceptions will be made, however do not go beyond the realms of good taste and treat this like craigslist by spamming the board with daily bumps or multiple threads beyond reason. You will be reported and could be banned.
9. Your thread will only get locked or deleted for a reason. If you start another thread about the same thing you will be suspended. PM a CO if you have any questions before posting here.
10. Our goal is to keep the ads clean and we would prefer no bumping of threads and no nonsense posting.
11. We will now use & list suspensions in our bad member thread, Any of the CO's have the right to suspend your selling rights for any period of time if you commit a fraudulent transaction and do not resolve it. If you are on the suspension list and post, we will seek a site ban. Suspension terms will vary incident by incident.
12. Commercial posts will be removed
13. Guests can only list their own S2000 for sale. They may not list any other parts or other models of cars regardless of make.
