NSX successor shall be downgraded

http://images.thecarconnection.com/sml/acura-nsx-replacement-preview_100226461_s.jpgA sad day, that was, when the NSX successor project was canceled by Honda. It was back in February when Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co said that the NSX successor was mostly completed, but no “go” was given to bring it on production. However, John Watts, Acura’s senior manager has revealed that an Acura sports car has just been revised but not as on a high level as the NSX.

It will not be a competitor to Nissan GT-R or Ferrari F430, but it will be downgraded to compete with cars such as Nissan 370Z. The NSX was “too high a halo,” Watts said. “For it to be fully effective (as a halo vehicle for the brand), it couldn’t be too far removed” from Acura’s other products. Its not the best of news, since there is no V10 engine with 600hp involved, but at least will be able to see a new sports car.
