Heavily Modified AP1 S2000 Is a Total Bargain
Deals still exist in today's inflated world of car prices.
Rare Find
It's no secret that Honda S2000 prices have skyrocketed over the past few years, and surging used vehicle prices in general have only made things worse - or better, depending on if you're on the buying or selling end of the equation. Regardless, there are still some solid deals to be found out there, and this nicely modified AP1 that recently crossed the block at Cars & Bids is certainly one of them.

Pricey Upgrades
The fact that this AP1 isn't some low-mile, stock gem certainly helps its cause, as collectors tend to shy away from modified cars. Regardless, those of us planning on building one anyway can certainly see the value in this build, which sold for a mere $31,250 despite its many pricey upgrades.

Interior Upgrades
Inside the cabin, this S2000 features a variety of upgrades including Recaro SPG seats, Seibon carbon fiber doors, a Sparco Alcantara steering wheel, and a titanium shift knob, giving it a nice JDM appearance whenever you slip behind the wheel.

Suspension Mods
Underneath, the build has been fortified with a set of KW V3 coilovers, Eibach swaybars, polyurethane bushings, and an AP Racing big brake kit, helping it stop and go better than it did in stock guise.

More Power
All of that is a good thing, given the fact that the car isn't running a stock engine, either. Instead, its 2.0-liter inline-four has been upgraded with a BMC Racing intake manifold, Koyorad aluminum radiator, FueLab fuel pressure regulator, AEM engine management system, and Burns Stainless steel exhaust system.

Looking the Part
On the outside, the AP1 looks the part thanks to new Mellow Yellow paint, a Veilside front bumper and splitter, aftermarket widebody front fenders, side mirrors, a rear widebody conversion, a Mugen hardtop, a chassis-mounted rear wing, and 17-inch WedsSport TC105N wheels.

Losing Money
Add it all up, and it's pretty clear that the seller spent a considerable sum of money transforming this S2000 into something truly unique, even though as is usually the case, they didn't get their money back when they sold it. But that also makes this AP1 a true bargain for the person that was able to bring it home, too.
