Default Soft top seal dropped off!

Rubbing a little shni-etsu on the seals tonight and noticed on the drivers side the middle section of seal was missing, after a brief rake I found it under the drivers seat, took a few attempts to reattach it, I had to bend some of the sheet metal segments it fits on in an attempt to retain it in place, and use a small pick to fit the edges into the guides along each side, has anyone had this and if so would a small amount of sealer help it grip into place permanently?

A little clear silicon sealant should do the trick, make sure it's clean and dry first and leave it 24 hours to cure.
