$1000 right? I didn't know those fit behind ap1 wheels!!! oh wait, i remember now.

I thought those sucked but someone told me they were solid piece caliper with 4 pistons!

sweet.

Does it come with the rotors? I need some new rotors and front brakes soon.

265/45? I thought the admin posted 265/35?

245/45/16

255/40/16

265/35/16

When I bought mine it came with the two calipers, 4 lightweight rotors, and 4 new brake pads. PM the seller for more info.

For auto-x you can go to a 265 in the rear im sure. For Time attack/Road Racing you would not want to run that setup.
265/45-16's not recommended for road course for fear of the tire bead rolling out of the inside of the rim during sustained high-load cornering or something like that?

To tell the truth, judging from the way the 225/50-16 245/45-16 Kumhos fit on the stock wheels, I'd be surprised if 265s on back would bulge out any more than the 225s do on the front!

I wouldn't be averse to trying it, unless there have been actual "incidents" with that fitment on the S2k during road course usage.

BTW, when did "Time Trials" become "Time Attack"?
(Judging from it's usage around here, the term's been around a while, but I'd never heard it before!)

You have to look in the Groupbuy section of marketplace:

The V710 265's that we use for autocross bulge out more than the 225's in front. Both of them are wider than street tires of the same size also. They really pinch a lot. So much so that the inside shoulder, even with -2.5 degrees of camber and low pressures, isn't even scuffed on mine.

I actually think they are too wide, I'm not sure that they get any more contact than a 245/45/16 would, but, kuhmo doesn't make that size in that tire. I would stick with 245/45/16 in the rear and 205 or 225 in the front depending on the rest of your setup and personal preference.

i will have stock sway bars, and I would like a little oversteer, which I could manage with the stock setup.

so I guess 255's on the rears are the way to go?

Thanks for the link, btw

Just recycling a thread instead of starting one up again.

Do I need to roll fenders if I go 225 and 255 F/R on AP1 wheels? I will be tracking.

You wouldnt need to roll, but have you considered the massive amount of sidewall flex you're going to be experiencing as a result? I would strongly recommend going with some 17x9s.

I'm really considering getting some re-71r's in stock ap1 sizes and then just track and learn with those. Kinda funny because I sold my rpf1's with 255 squared star specs
