Project Mu HC+ vs Ferodo DS3000
I've been running DS3000's for a little while now, and I really like them. I love their bite from cold (which is really important for sprint events) and they are totally fade free. The only things I don't like are the dust and the price. I was looking at PMU HC+, but I don't know how well they'll compare. Has anyone else tried both of these?

ds2500 compete with the hc+ while the ds3000 are more comparable to the project mu club racer. The HC+ blows the ds2500 out of the water in every aspect. Ive had pad deposit issues with the ds2500 and opted to try out the hc+ and have been really impressed, it also has the widest temp range of any street/track pad ive found to date (0-1472 degrees F) I just recently picked up a set of club racers as ive been hearing nothing but good things on them and was recommended them by several people.
The ds3000 is a great pad but the compound is a little outdated and there are better products available now. Also the dust from the ds3000 can mess up the finish of your wheels from my experience. The club racer from project mu is more comparable to the ds3000 than the hc+. From my experience thus far, the clubracer offers much better modulation and release than the ds3000 and they dont chew up your rotors nearly as bad.

I was looking at the Club Racer also but their operating range is 300-800c, where as the HC+ is 0-800c. I need something that will work from cold. How do you find the Club Racer compares to the HC+ when they are cold?

I actually daily drive on the Club Racer pads now, they make slight noise when cold but are fine once warmed up a little bit. On the track, the Club Racer maintains a consistent level of friction all throughout its temperature range, the mid range torque on this pad is extreme! With the HC+, you could feel the friction coefficient slowly start to fall off as you reach closer to its max operating temp, but it does so pretty gradually so you can notice it. Its not like other pads which completely fall off a cliff once you reach or exceed its maximum operating temp. As far as cold bite goes, the hc+ does bite better when cold but the club racers arent all that bad.

I have the Club Racers and have been very happy with them. Cold they worked just as good if not better than the factory pads I replaced, although I haven't ever had the need to get on them hard with either. Once you get some temperature in them though the Club Racers are amazing compared to stock and have never shown any signs of fading.
