No points but I owed the fine. The judge basically said I got up to speed to quickly "could be considered drag racing" and "what if a car pulled out of Sheetz or a mexican was walking across the street?"

I was so dumbfounded by that statement that I took the offer of fine and no points and got out of there.

Thanks for the support.

PS. The receptionist told me that my officer "writes ALOT of tickets"

I figured as much - there is a lot of "revenue enhancement" going on in law enforcement. They tag you with a ticket that has points, then the magistrate "negotiates" it down to fine without points. So many bogus tickets are written, knowing its bull, but also knowing it is too expensive to fight city hall - especially when they could just hammer you if you do not agree.

I agree. The $109.50 fine was almost worth it just to hear the judge utter the line "what if a Mexican crossed the street?" That is going to be my new go to line whenever something makes no sense.

I couldn't believe it either. The only possible justification I can think of was that I believe earlier this year an illegal immigrant was crossing Rt22 and was hit/possibly killed. Regardless it is still a totally off the wall comment.

i have yet to be pulled over in the S (im sure its coming) although i was pulled over in a s10 that i purchased after it was wrecked in the front so i had the hood off and basically everything in the front zip tied on it was my only means of transportation at the time so i was on my way back from a junkyard and passed a cop, looked in my mirror and saw him doing a U-turn, pulled over and waited. He came to the window and said i assume since you pulled over before i was behind you that you know its illegal to not have a hood? I explained my situation to him and he told me to be on my way

Good call! My first ticket in the s2000 -

Date: September 9th, 2013

Place: Monaca, PA (Rt. 51)

Time: roughly 1am

What I did: Just had the new motor installed the day before. Took it out near Washington, PA for dinner and was on the way home. I hadn't really gotten on it due to nerves, but decided to utilize an open stretch of highway for a little VTEC engagement opportunity.

Cop didn't clock me, but definitely heard me redline a few times and tagged me for that. My car hasn't been inspected in PA since I brought it back from Georgia. And my license was suspended - but it had been reinstated the day before. Well his system didn't show that last part.

Cop was really cool though, and kept asking me all kinds of questions about the car. Why was it so low, was it a BMW, exhaust, did I like it, how did it handle - etc.

Ended up fighting the administrative part about the license in court and got it reduced to not carrying my license on me. No speeding ticket.

Fine: $270.00, paid

I have so many more stories haha.. I have been pulled over at least 20 times in the past 2 years! My new years resolution for 2014 is to not get pulled over. So far so good!!!
