New Top

New Top
I’ve put off getting a new top on my 2001 for a couple of years now. I’ve never been able to see out of the cloudy plastic window since I bought the car new. And needless to say, I have holes where the frame rubs each time I put it up or down. I’ve pretty much decided on going with glass even though it looks considerably smaller than the original. Has anyone had any experience with Autotops as a replacement? And most importantly, is there anyone in the Pittsburgh area who can do the installation?

Hi, If you can get a few others needing replacements, the S2ki member who did mine from New Jersey said he'd come to Pgh. He was recommended to me by Billman. He did a great job and did it in 3 hours! He also removed the burrs and spot painted what he sanded. Good luck!

@2poor2mod is the "New Jersey guy" who came down to DC 13 months ago and did 3, maybe 4 new Robbins roof in a long day. He worked his magic in one of our member's driveways. Brought a "truckload" full of tools and supplies. Recommended.
When he prepared to smooth the frame of my roof he noted "Someone's been in here before." It was me.
