Removing rear differential
I'm going to slowly start parting out my car, in preparation for a new S2000 probably by next year. I'm strongly considering selling my 4.56 gears.
How difficult is it to remove/swap the rear differential?
Thanks guys.
Also if anyone is interested in a K&N FIPK for pre-MY06 models or a Rick's red x-brace let me know!

It is funny you posted this question since I will be getting this done shortly by my tech in Pittsburgh. However they will be installing 4.77 gears in my existing pumpkin.
Why are you thinking of removing the 4.56 gears?

Just to make some extra cash from the car...
I went to Valley Honda recently, and as a trade-in there's no extra value added for these mods. Even for selling it privately, it probably would be easier to make the sale on the S in stock form.
Will you look into how difficult it would be to do the swap from your tech?

Are you going to attempt this by yourself...
? I wouldn't even attempt this unless you have the proper tools, lift, etc... Even then, it would be a good idea to have someone who knows what they are doing help you remove & reinstall the gears. If they are not shimmed or installed properly you will damage them quickly. I helped do this on my Mustang and (IMHO) it is not a job for the "backyard" mechanic. I wish I could help you.
Maybe Hardtopguy would be willing to trade your set for a stock one? It may be worth shooting him a PM.
P.S.-Don't forget about your "Yellow Box".
