I have the S with me at work today. Plan on leaving around 2 and getting gas and some snack. I was going to bring a camping chair but I forgot so I guess I will sit up in the grand stands and watch.

Anyone joining me or are you all "racing"?

This is what my friend had to say:

From a spectator standpoint - I'd say definitely bring a comfy chair, and I'd suggest driving down to the end of the front straight (as you drive toward the track make a left at the fence and go as far as you can. Once you park down at the end, take your chair and find a spot where you can see cars come out of 1 (just past the guard rail) and you'll have a good view of 2-3-4-5-6 and then they'll disappear as they leave 6 and you can't see 7 from that vantage point. If you wanted to watch from the upper deck of the event center you'd be able to see 7 - but you'd miss much of the action at 1-2-3-4-5 so I'd probably set up down by 2-3. Here's the challenge - the track is under construction and the connectors to the new track are at 2 & 4. They have some safety cones and walls up to keep people off the grass and gravel. It's all graded and ready to go, and if anyone drives through it - it's gonna cost the track a bundle - so I don't know how far you'll be able to go with your chair - but I suspect it'll still be the best place to watch the action.

Weather is looking questionable for sitting outside and watching a track day. Is it raining down by you Fred or up by you Chris?

Had fun last night. It was cold out but we made the best of it. I will be far more prepared the next time!
