Yea it's possible all those bloatware apps are slowing it down.
I would reformat the whole thing and make it crispy clean.
Windows update should work.

I am getting ready to do a reformat myself....ughhh Its not fun though. I need to go buy a larger external hard drive first to back up my files.

With W7, I have never had to reformat my main box.
Just has to be clean to start with.

I have been running 7 for about 2.5years now. Maybe I will just do some maintenance and go close some programs that are running in the background during start up.
