Default Dome light switch

Not sure if anyone has ever had a problem with their dome light switch not working properly. Mine started "cutting out" and I had the same problem a few years ago and had a new one put in under warranty. I was going to call again to get a second one but found this link.

And it completely solved my problem. I suspect that if I had known this a few years ago on the first one I could of had one less warranty claim.

Just thought I'd pass this link on.

That's a great write-up. The problem and solution process reminds me of cleaning the contacts between a needle cartridge and tonearm on my Technics!

Watchdogd, did you receive/install those LEDs yet? They're just bright enough to illuminate the cockpit and allow you to read and fumble around for things. When you're approaching the car, unlocked it with your fob, you can see deep red tint to the windows, and it's really not visible until you're within 10-15ft. Just an easy, cheap mod....doesn't look rice at all because it's subtle.

I did get them, one is pretty much burnt out and so I emailed them for replacement. I dont like that they are not very bright and will probably go back to the stockers LOL. I agree it is subtle.
