i wont over rev the motor, 8k is probably all I will take it to. but according to inline pro, they have customers reving the stroker motors to 9k without issues. who knows how accurate that is or what they are exactly doing with the car. but for road racing I think 9k would be a bit excessive for the stroked F motor.

I know the shops say that, but I swear I remember a vendor (GT Motoring maybe) mention how he blew up a few 2.2's at 9k. That scares me a little bit.

Block, rods and crank have arrived! calculating compression ratio to order pistons and bearings in the next week.

can someone double check my calculations and values.


87 cylinder bore
99 piston stroke
87.3 head gasket bore diameter
.762 compressed headgasket thickness OEM
53.6 combustion chamber volume in CC
15 piston dome volume in CC
1 piston deck clearance

the ones i need to verify is the piston deck clearance really. values are in mm unless otherwise specified

everything for the motor build should be ordered within the week. just finishing up the final calculations for the compression ratio and getting the money inline. pics posted soon of everything ive gotten in so far later tonight if i get around to it
