Is everyone who wants to be in on the planning available this sunday evening?
Have a previous engagement already for this Sunday evening. What about after the drive this Sunday like you originally requested? Otherwise the 22nd, like Wade mentioned, is probably good.

Hi Sundog,

The event in this thread is being handled by a different group than the group that created the Southwest S2000s in the Sun event that is shown in the photos you reference. Please don't use our photos to represent what you would like to do for your event. I know Back-Cracker went into an uproar over an event in England using "Megameet." I don't care if you use the name, just don't represent those photos as your own or what you would like it to be.

Please be respectful of the work we have done in the past and create your own work and not use our past work as a reference to any vendors or as a way to create interest in a signup - this is a new event, not an iteration of a past event.

Thank you,
Jordan

Now that's funny. Back-Cracker was the first person ever to use the word megameet? Google says over 15,000 have used it.

Don't get me started on that one Skibum, but yeah - there is still a thread out there in the CO forum.

Please understand this is not an "annual" event. There was no passing of the baton. This was an S2000arizona.com event, not an S2ki.com event. S2ki.com was a sponsor, along with Earnhardt Honda, and several other businesses over the years.

All I am asking is that you represent what you are doing, not what we did, as what your event will become. If this is going to be your event, please make it your event. I like the fact that the name has adjusted to "Fun in Sun" that makes it more yours and you should be proud of the hard work you will put into this event, just like many of us old guys were.

Keep up the initiative!

Looks like t-shirts will be around the $7 range - depending on the quality of course.

I would also think we can get Vivid Racing to sponsor to some extent.

Thanks Skibum.

If I remember, I'll call Science of Speed tomorrow and see if they'd be willing to sponsor or host the event.

We still need a get-together to plan a bit more. I say everyone spend this week trying to find a host venue and then figure out a place/time to meet. (I'll be in San Diego sun-wed)

Earnhardt is no longer a sponsor, no problemo.
