Going to be in Tucson
Hi all, I currently live in Alaska and I am going on what I guess could be called a vacation in november to Tucson. Pretty much I am trying to get a feel for the area since I would like to move either to Tucson or Las Vegas sometime late next year. Pretty much Having 8 months of snowy darkness each winter has taken its toll and I am done with it up here lol. I am going to be checking out University of Arizona while I am there and hanging out with some friends a bit, but I was wondering if anyone can help me out with some ideas for entertainment while i am not doing anything. Landmarks or points of intrest. You know touristy stuff. I am going to be there from the 8th of november to the 14th of november. Thanks for any ideas. I appreciate it. It will definatly be nice to gwt out of the snow for a while. I am probally going to be a foot under snow within the next 3 or 4 weeks. Well I appreciate any help or ideas anyone can give me.

I was just in Alaska last month. I loved the weather, but I was just there for a week.
Sorry I don't know what there is to do in Tucson. I've only been there a few times. They have a nice airplane museum if you're into that. There are some cool hiking trails around the outlying areas. And there's always golf. From what I hear, Tucson is pretty much a bedroom community with a lot of snow birds (part time retired residents escaping winter).
What are you going to school for? ASU in Tempe offers a ton of degrees and is in a fun city with lots to do, and some people don't like U of A.

Well, the summer in Alaska is absolutaly awesome. Temp is around 70ish most of the time and we get sun about 50-60% of the time. It is the winter that gets to you though. We get a lot of snow, which is cool if you are into snow sports. That is not me though. I enjoy road biking and hiking and disc golf and stuff like that. All of which dont work out as well in the winter. As for School, I am just doing general stuff, and I took some time off so I can work and get my debts payed off and get the supercharger I want before I move. I figure I should try out somplace without a real winter. Plus I know a few people in Southern Arizona. Thanks for the help though.
