Today after my oil change i went to the mazda right next to arrowhead. I test drove the rx8, the salesman was cool, he's been working there for about two weeks and he said just keep it below 90 mph, so i was like cool. so going west on bell rd, i was flooring it the whole time, the whole drive i was around 5500-8k rpms, didnt wanna take it to 9k just because it's not my car. It was a fun car to drive, i still like my car better of course, but it was a good experience. he told me the car taking a turn at 40mph doesn't even make a screech from the tires, and he told me to take a turn at 30mph, it wasn't really a big deal since my car takes turns a lot better than that, but it was fun abusing a car that is not mine. next car to test is the 350z =)

I've test driven both. I disliked the 350Z, but the RX-8 was nice. I didn't rev up the RX-8 too high, because it wasn't my car, but I thought the handling was better than the S2k. The RX-8 I drove had traction control, which makes a HUGE difference. But I didn't think it was as fast. Same speed down low, and no VTEC increase at high RPMs.

I drove the rx-8, one of my buddies was working at a dealership this summer, so i got to take one out and really abuse it, i was not impressed. i took it to redline and if i remember right after readline it goes for a bit then it beeps, or a little light flashes or somthing. neway, it was about the same low end, but had nothing uptop. handling was nice but i like my s2k better.

I found it to be too quiet. Maybe I'm just to use to my loud Invidia's ringing in my ears? Not that that is a bad thing.
