Default Hondata Flashpro

I have an intake, test pipe and exhaust, that's it. I'm not planning any other engine related mods in the foreseeable future. Would it be a total waste of money to reflash/tune my car with these few mods? Anyone have good results with just these few bolt-ons and a tune?

I would be willing to bet you anything in my possesion that you will see more of a power differencefrom the flashpro then you all your other mods combined, especially if you get it dyno/e tuned.

LOL It won't be hard to notice more of a difference because I didn't notice any difference in power using my uncalibrated butt dyno. What kind of gains are we talking about?

I would bet around 220whp-230whp and maybe 155tq. Figure a stock car will make 200whp at UMS, and a car with some bolt ons maybe 210. Biggest difference is going to be the area under the curve. You should gain a load of torque through the entire power band, and will be able to pull much harder out of corners at the track. Lowering Vtec makes a very big difference in usable power.

Yeah I would love to lower vtec engagement since I don't redline every gear all day every day, and switching off the secondary o2 would be cool too.

The +1 gave me the okay to get the Hondata for myself for Father's Day. I'm thinking I should just forget to tell her about tuning until after I get it.

Defiantly look into getting it from Evans Tuning with an E tune.

Couldn't be happier with Jeff Evans and Evans Tuning.

True! Good call on evans, plus I think you get a discount when you buy the flashpro from him. Evans is one of the best tuners for the s2000, and is great at answering emails and questions.

I would recommend this as the very first mode for any '06+ owner.

You will get at least what I got below or better.
I like tuning at Tony's UMS dyno personally.

The VTEC point is not something you arbitrarily set.
It's put where it makes the curve the smoothest by the tuner.
Notice the 'before' had it at ~6k where the 'after' you can't really tell.
