Damn I am sold! I have heard nothing but good things from you about it, and I really like the idea of the car being tuned for how I drive it on the street! Plus, $100 for a retune is unbeatable!!! Makes it worth buying some parts, getting an etune, and not having to worry about future mods since its so cheap for a retune.
The e-tune sounds great for someone with some free time and a little knowledge to put towards getting it done. I have almost no free time and I don't know anything about tuning a car, literally nothing.
Don't really need to know how to tune either. Just need to be able to turn on a laptop, and maybe press a button or two.

Its not for everyone.
If you can work a iPod you can etune. You plug it in push datalog and do a pull. Then stop recording and save it. Then do another pull and record it. You usually have to datalog some city driving and cold and hot starts. Then just email him
The files. He will go through it make changes an send you a new map. Then upload thennew map and do it all over again. Alot more convenient then setting up Dyno time and dropping off your car, picking it up and going back for adjustments.

A Dyno tune is a bit more accurate for finding mbt and allowing the less experienced tuners to stay away from tuning based on knock. It can also help a less experienced tuner find the perfect vtec crossover point. You are also able to roughly see your actual power.
I am not sold on e-tune's
Honestly, there no difference between an E-tune, and an in person tune, other then you do the logging.
The tuner logs a pull, interprets the logs, makes adjustments based on the data. The same thing occurs on an e-tune, except YOU do the logging.
One difference with an etune is you are taking the risk of getting a speeding ticket, vs the tuner..lol
One annoyance on more built cars is things aren't done real time, so on more custom/big builds, it "may" be a bit more of a headache. Say you have big injectors for instance, and the tuner sends a base calibration and the car wont start, or runs like shit, you have to wait for him to send it back. This might need to happen a couple times before you can even make a clean pull. However with a competent tuner, this will be minimized.
