You can get the best of both worlds if you go old school. There was a shop on speedhunters that takes old 911 and converts them to modern drivetrain variants.

Why is it not posted in the marketplace? You'll get a lot more exposure. And maybe change your profile picture... I think with that new price and the Mugen bling you'll have some interest.

It was posted in the marketplace, but last I checked it was on page x932jr32rj3of. The only way to sell is to be highly motivated. When I sold my car I had about 3 pages of posts, mainly from me bumping it up non stop and adding pictures almost daily

Did you consider the lotus route? I'm still stuck deciding what I should do with my car but I got the chance to drive a few other cars since I was mulling over just dumping my S before I go nuts with it and going nuts with something else instead.

Get a Lotus Exige S260 Cup;

I even think Lotus of Scottsdale has this one in stock. I've driven a few lotii, and that's the only "step up" that I found from the S in handling feel barring an atom, caterham, kitcar etc. I didn't like any of the Porsches. I have no idea what it is about them, but I hate all of them. The Cayman and Cayman R feel the most balanced and civil since they are mid engine, but still have a yearning to understeer then heavy oversteer when you push it more and the steering and road feel like in an S/Lotus chassis is simply not there. Factory brake compound is as usual terrible even up to the 911 territory. It is the same with a 911 except with more oversteer much earlier.

Another terrible thing with Porsches are their terrible cost to modify. Every single thing you do will leave your wallet hurting, no matter how much money you have. Seeing the markup of a lot of the parts really will blow your mind. Hell even maintaining them is expensive as can be. The lotus has a pretty good mix of track consumable cost (due to not running gangsta ass 335/30/19s or hell some ballin' 355/25/20 on aftermarket wheels) and it quite a bit more affordable to "have fun in". However make no mistake, it will cost you more to mod than an S of course.
