This has always made me mad because it seems like they know you have the money so they feel entitled to take it from you even if the part/mod is of similar value as a cheaper car. What people seem to not understand is that the only reason most rich people have money is because they were frugal with shit like this.

Some parts are obviously more expensive/time consuming on those cars but I doubt things like changing brake rotors on a GTR should cost $5k when all it takes is 4 bolts.

i was looking at a Lotus Exige befor i got the S... i dont think i can live with it. i'm a big guy after all. i dont know, i really like my S... and i dont have to make payments on it anymore but it was something about driving the GT3 last weekend. i always wanted to try a porsche but i never had the $$$ i do now and i been looking at them over and over and thinking, i really dont want to mod the S so what do i get that will be fun to drive and not make me want to mod it? the GT3 will fit the bill. and after driving my buddy's i was sold. im getting old, i dont want to be doing lots of mods anymore and i did lots of that on older cars (my 400+ RX7-sold, old school 280Z (thripple carbbed)-sold, my AE86 (with every pice of suppension done to it), 88 crx si about to do B16 swap ans sold it all- sold), and all the work i did working at SpeedFarctory and all the toys i put togethere for the buddy with the GT3 (one AE86, 4 Supras last one was 1000+hp, a M3 BMW and i know there was some other stuff).

its not sold just yet so i'm still thinking.....

and remember all that talk about modding... you have to pay to play. if its not money its your time/blood you need to put into your ride.

Yup yup, I know how it is. I really like my S too. I'm stuck in a similar boat as you, but will accept nothing less then something better in ALL areas (should I go that route), and that's hard with how good the S handles and feels stock, and even more difficult once you do a few minor changes.

I wish I could get a ride with someone who has a AFI/FR/PFAB Twinscroll setup and no bigger then a gt30 or someone who has a novi 1500... That'd make my decision easier.

Get a Lotus Exige S260 Cup;
There's no way to daily drive a Lotus in Phoenix. The AC is useless.

I have a buddy picking up a Cayman and he wants to know who the good vendors are and where are good places to get parts from.

Any suggestions?

Do they have a forum likes this one somewhere?

Is there a big tuner house like Mugen/AMG/etc.?

He's already picking one up without researching it?

Tell him to get his wallet ready..

Check TPC for a vendor, 10k for a turbo kit (but it does seem well designed)
