Default Lowering question:

So I'm considering getting a set of Spoon Sports progressive springs (cuz I'm clearly too poor for J's Racing coils ), and I was wondering how a 1" (25mm) drop will affect tire wear. Does anyone have their car lowered just a bit? How is your experience?

Thanks!

I don't know anything about that kit but 1" does nothing to your tire wear as long as you get an alignment after install. 1" is the most common drop. It's

get it aligned, there won't be a difference in wear.

Agreed. And it is worth saying that camber is not what wears your tires unevenly, it is toe. Excessive toe will cause the tires to scrub while rotating. Yes, at some point running extreme amounts of negative camber can wear the inside of your tires faster, but it is going to take "extreme" amounts to do so. To put it in perspective, i run -2.0 front camber, and -2.5 rear camber, and have done so on my last set of tires, and my current set of tires. I get PERFECTLY even tire wear. Make sure your alignment is good, and your tire pressures are correct, and uneven tire wear is a none issue!

I see~ I didn't even think to realize that lowering the car not on changes the camber, but also the alignment. Oy~

If you guys know of any good alignment shops at a good price, please hook a brotha up.

Thanks!

Shuman's is who I've always used. It was SOS's old contact, and SOS as well as Network, but I've never tried the latter.
