Default Overheating Issues

So I was sitting at the drive thru line at in and out, and I looked at my dash, and my water temp gauge was creeping passed the halfway mark. I freaked out and turned on the heater, which only made the water temp gauge go up further. Freaking out even more, I just shut the engine off until I got my food. When I did get my food, I immediately wanted to get some air flowing through my engine bay, so I hopped back onto Bell, and the temp gauge went down back to normal. Do you guys have any helpful tips for me to keep my S cool in the summer?

I know many have recommended a turbo blanket, but where do I find one for my specific turbo, or are they all one size fits all or something?

My advice is to completely ignore the useless temp gauge when you have an aftermarket EMS as it's not calibrated like the stock one is.

The only real data is to check it with a laptop and see exactly what's going on. Mine creeps up a few bars but never goes above 205F - 210F even with the AC on. Then again full summer heat hasn't hit yet.....

I'd bet anything you weren't over heating at all. You should get tuner view and stop screwing around.

I need to fabricate the S dash to have it fit. When I get my daily, I will try to get it done, or if someone has already done it, I will just buy it separately

Ill take that lunch bet, I drove all last year without one issue on a stock cooling system without the oil cooler.
