So when are you buying me lunch? I have never had overheating issues with my car and i drove to Homecoming with a Turbo, done many canyon drives and also many drives up north. So you owe me lunch.

RYOGA - Sounds like you have an air pocket in the cooling system. The S2000 is the worst for trapping air pockets. Try bleeding the system again and check for air.

The turbo blanket, and coating and wrap is a good idea for keeping things from melting around the area and keeping under hood heat down but a good running and stable cooling system on a turbo charged car can desipate heat just like it was stock.

When I did get my food, I immediately wanted to get some air flowing through my engine bay, so I hopped back onto Bell, and the temp gauge went down back to normal. Do you guys have any helpful tips for me to keep my S cool in the summer?
Did your radiator fans kick on when the temp started getting high? I can understand your temps getting high under hard driving, but your were just idling. Maybe you still have an air bubble in your cooling system like Jeffrey said. Worst comes to worst, change out your thermostats, water pump, and upgrade your radiator if you haven't already. An aftermarket fan would probably be good too.

I will keep an eye on it, and bleed my system when I do my next oil change. I have not seen any issues until this point, and I have been stuck at a taco bell and other fast food places with my car running at idle and have not experienced any issues. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR turbo issues are like the clap, they disappear for awhile, then outta nowhere you get an outbreak when you least expect it

I had it happen all summer with me EM2 when it was boosted. Viewing the temp via kpro is would always hit 215 and of course once you reach the peak temp, the CEL came on. I hated it. Had two FAL fans too.

its not the turbo/manifold heating the coolant, especially at idle.
its the 1000 degree combustion temps heating the coolant.

its also a catch 22 to fix the big air dam, blocking air to your radiator, aka, the intercooler and AC condenser

get more fresh air to the radiator, problem goes away.

No wonder way my intake air temps are so high now. V mount ftw.

I wonder if meth injection would help keep our cars cool?
