Question for the lowered s2000s out there
Hey guys quick (noob) question. I'm hopefully picking up a set of coilovers whenever my tax return decides to finally show up, and after watching my roommate pull my car into a driveway the other day, I realized I'm going to have to do something about the small flaps in front of the front wheels.
After doing some research, they apparently exist to create a low pressure zone in front of the front tires, which reduces drag on the underside of the car (I'm no engineer, somebody would have explain whether that's right or wrong). Will the net performance gain of lowering the car outweigh the loss of removing/clipping these flaps? What did everybody who lowered their car do to remove them? I assume people take them off/trim them, as they can scrape on things even at stock ride height.

This has been discussed many times on this forum.
You won't notice a difference unless you are traveling at a high rate of speed (100mph+). They have been shown to impact air flow at those speeds.
