Just got a call back from Showcase and he said the Honda Rep said I can't bring it there for repair because I went to San Tan to get it looked at first....

Do this. Tell the Manager at Showcase to call me and will explain my horrible story to him. And if that doesn't work have the factory rep call me. I have had 9 claims under warranty with American Honda they probably know me by now.

I'll help you anyway I can avoid trimfit. If you want my number to have them call just PM me and I'll give you it.

I wish noone the terrible luck I had with the soft top. Need I say more

As some of you know, my soft top is in the WORST condition a soft top can possibly be in. I bought my s2000 used from a guy that moved here from Cali. There is no warranty on the car, but since this has come to my attention, I checked, and I have a big tear in the same place as all of you are talking about. I thought it was something from the previous owner just not taking care of the car, but since it is an issue with the top, could I possibly get my top replaced by one of the dealerships? Maybe go 50/50 with them as one of you members have posted?

But when I called the dealership previously, they charge a ton just for a soft top and installation. I believe i was quoted around $1400 for the top w/installation.

That seems a little high to me? But it is a dealership so I figured they were just charging me an arm and leg.

I seriously doubt Honda will go 50/50 since your car is 9 years old but its worth asking!

I would get the parts as cheap as possible online from a dealer "San Tan Honda sells at wholesale prices online www.santanhonda.com/order-parts/ with will call option" and have a trusted upholstery shop "www.azautotops.com" do the work....

or just forget it and go buy a hardtop
