Update: Working with the lodge to get the quote. They came back stating the quote would not be prepared now until the end of April as the owners and workers of the lodge are on vacation for the next couple of weeks. I have gone back though and asked again to get the quote sooner than later as I know people want/need to see the costs before committing further.

As stated on the first page, I paid about $500 last year for two people for the whole trip. So please use that number as a rough estimate of what you could expect to pay and budget for that. Out of town people, your costs will be significantly more because of your long distance traveling.

 

Thanks for the cost estimate. Just to clarify, was the $500 for both of you, or was it closer to $500 each? To fly my girlfriend out won't be cheap, but I think it's worth it. Round trip airfare will be $300-500 if we buy early.

 

Yes, the $500 was for two people for the entire trip (includes gas, snacks, etc). To put this in perspective for people, we consumed more than our fair share of alcoholic beverages at dinner both nights, and I ate a nice $20+ steak on Friday night. We treated ourselves like we were on vacation...so while I offer up what I spent, it can certainly be done for cheaper if you don't drink a lot of beverages, and order expensive steaks off the menus...but it was vacation and I like to indulge myself

 

That sounds like a great weekend. If I get my gf here, it will be a vacation for us, too.

Great news everyone!! I got the quote back while I was out on vacation and did a quick read through, and crunched some numbers. Ann, the owner of the Amberian is really looking forward to our return, and has been gracious enough to give our group a $30 discount off the normally listed prices!

I will continue to review and list a complete breakdown of prices, then we can decide what we want to do. AS it stands if 41 people go on this trip, the total per person (room, 2 breakfasts, 2 nights of happy hour appetizers, and a saturday dinner deposit) we are looking at $155 per person.

If you are on the main list expect a pm early next week. In it will be a small price breakdown and payment instructions. I will open up official registration next week and it will go until the end of May. If you do not pay and register by the date stated in the pm you will lose your spot and the people on the waiting list will get a shot to pay and register. If you are on the waiting list plan on having money ready end May just in case a spot opens up. You will only have a week to sign up.
