Excuse me?

Did you read my above comment? Did you misinterpret my above comment?

I don't know how I can make it any more clear than I already have:

-Apparently going to the dragon ISN'T FOR EVERYONE. Most of you have made that quite clear. (don't see a problem with that statement, as I am acknowledging what you all have told me).

-The use of caps was to imply that Benson's concerns are his and his alone, and shouldn't/wont affect my thoughts and actions, hence the sentence that followed.

Any other comments that we're made previously we're all in good fun. You know fun? The kind of fun that you guys have with me? When I've been defensive in the past and you guys say "oh, don't worry mike... It's all in good fun."

So is it that you can dish it out, but you just can't take it? Do I need to go find the threads where I was made fun of for something I said?

And in the future have some courtesy: If you have a problem with me OR MISUNDERSTAND SOMETHING THAT I HAVE SAID, send me a PM so we can discuss it privately, because this was uncalled for. It is very difficult to detect tone and intention through text, so take what you read lightly until you have confirmation.

This is the kind of crap that will tear apart what little organization we have here in New Orleans, much like what happened to one of the Texas crews a while back.

And I would be more than happy to take up "concerns to your face", but I don't remember ever addressing you personally.

Thank you, and have a nice day!

i'm tired of hearing u bashing us about the dragon man
Ok...then it must be my turn to bash you all about the dragon.

kidding aside I will add this.

If any of you are ever up in that area...say on a vacation in gatlinburg or pigeon forge or whatever...don't pass this road up. Make it a point to go drive it.

Even if you cruise it at 6/10ths (which is as safe as your average stint in New Orleans traffic) it is so much fun. I have driven it as hard as I dared and cruised it at much saner speeds. I thoroughly enjoyed every 22 mile round trip. And there is some great driving on other roads in the area from two-lane Hellbender (Rt 128) to some of the 4 lane "skyways" that offer some of the most specacular scenery east of the Mississippi.

You don't have to drive it balls out to enjoy it by any means. The whole area is just such a great experience, particularly from the left seat of a nice sporting machine with the top down.

I know how hard it can be to find the time and cash for a visit to the smokies and I'm not saying "do it this summer" or even "do it this year". But if you don't make this drive sometime during your S2000 ownership you will have missed a great opportunity.

PS: If you can only go once, do it in October. Fantastic weather and the fall colors are awsome.

very innocuously put Mike!

Let's hope all the "crusading" stops....it was beginning to wear on me.

Now back to our scheduled program.....

Here is some food for thought,

If you don't want to be involved in the trips to the mountains, or you don't even want to know about them, don't click on the threads that pertain to them. Such threads might have titles that include words such as, but are not limited to: Tail, of, the, Dragon, Deals, Gap, Trip, Smokey, Mountains, etc...

I'll keep all of the Dragon info out of the other threads, and you guys keep your input out of the Dragon threads. Hopefully that will make everyone happy. If anyone has a problem with anything, it will be his or her own fault for snooping around in a thread they don't want to have any involvement with. (Ex. Would you click on a thread that says "Not work safe" if you were at work?)

As for getting back to scheduled programming, this thread was always about a trip to the dragon, so that is what it will continue to be. Call it "crusading" or whatever you would like. I suppose my push for a run to Red Bluff could have been called "crusading" at one point (when everyone was saying that it was too far/long to drive from the New Orleans, etc..) , but that turned out pretty well for everyone, didn't it? Can someone say "Green Eggs and Ham"?

Let me stress this point again, and for the good of the group I hope you all can agree:

IF ANYONE HAS ANY PROBLEM WITH SOMETHING SOMEONE ELSE HAS SAID OR DONE, OR HAS MISUNDERSTOOD A SITUATION OF THE LIKE, PLEASE HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY TO PM THEM. BRINGING THE SITUATION INTO PUBLIC FORUM IS COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR, AS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DETECT TONE AND INTENTION THROUGH TEXT, OFTEN RESULTING IN MISUNDERSTANDINGS. SUCH SITUATIONS WILL ONLY RESULT IN CONFLICTS AND RIFTS BETWEEN MEMBERS, WHICH IS THE LAST THING THIS GROUP NEEDS.

No hard feelings. I hope we can all continue to get along like nice little boys and girls.

NOW back to scheduled programming.

on behalf of the guys in the new orleans area, they all feel the same way i do, so what do i need to pm u for? they can all relate and back me up on this, and since i have nothing to hide, i would consider myself an easy person to get along with. i have been nothing but helpful in this community for quite a few years now, and down for whatever who needs the help. how long have u had your s again?

it has been "all in good fun" among us, but after u have crossed that line to call your new dragon buddies to come to our forum and make a thread to call us out, how can u NOT click on it? that was all of "YOUR" doing. you may not realize it when u continue to say it through your bs comments, but it comes through loud and clear everytime. i can take it and dish it, but it's gettin old really quick.

while benson explains that it should not be done on public highways, it became a valid point for endangerment, but for us, it became lame excuses? this is what triggered me to defend the guys here. you have even admitted to having an encounter that had almost gone bad the last time. who admits speeding on the highway and posts about it?

hopefully this will open YOUR eyes and make u think about what you say before u say it.

like i said, just kill it and let it go.

mike(tof), i didn't mean for it to get nasty like it did, so please don't think that this was lashed out at you. you have remained humble throughout the whole ordeal since u guys went to the dragon. i hope lil mike could learn something from you.
