Help in Tyler
Hello folks, i mainly post in the DFW forum, but i live closer to Tyler. I am looking to see if someone can help me and install an AUT cooling plate, change my oil (i have filter and washer) and install red jdm badges. i dont have tools and i have never worked on my cars before. please let me know if you or someone you know can help me with these items, thanks!
The badges you dont need many 'tools' at all. Use some dental floss to get the current ones off. Then use automotive safe goo-gone or WD40 to get the leftover sticky crap off. Finally slap your new ones on. Its very easy. Only thing you gotta be careful on is to not get too upset trying to get the sticky crap off.... cause if you get too frustrated you might end up scratching up the clearcoat.
As for an oil change, you can find some step by step stuff online about how to change your oil. S2k isny really any different than any other car..... in fact it seems easier than most cars, cause honda placed both the bolt and filter in really easy to reach locations. Check your owners manual for jacking points.

I am a few hours away from Tyler (central LA).... someone else might be close. I guess if you want to drive like 3 or 4 hours then i could help lol.
Really all you need to buy would be some jack stands to start with(assuming you already a socket set and such). Jack stands are like $35 for 2 of them. In college i bummed other people's tools, so i didnt have a nice jack either. What I did was just use the scissor jack that comes with the car. I raised up one of the front corners with the scissor jack, then brought in a jack stand, and then lowered the car onto the jackstand so the scissor jack is no longer supporting the car. This gave me enough clearance to scoot under the car and get to the bolt.
Also, you can actually reach the bolt from the top of the car, so you may be able to change the oil without even jacking the car up.... have heard it works, but havent tried yet.
Deffintily watch some youtube videos on oil changes, and then just go locate all the parts on the S2000 (bolt/filter). Once you know how and where everything is then your only question should be getting the car jacked up and getting some jackstands.... or try to do the change from the top and dont jack the car up.

Well I did the AUT plate by myself. I also took care of the cabin filter. Last thing is the oil change and I'll take it to Honda Tyler. Thanks anyways though.
If you guys ever want to meet in Tyler let's set something up!
