It's just a couple more blocks northwest of the aforementioned shopping center.
Mason, I have just re-read the three threads (OK & AR) concerning the two driving tours. Nowhere could I find mentioned
the name and address of where we are to meet Sunday morning in Mt. Ida on 5 June. Also, do you know if there is a gas
station in or near Mt. Ida, AR that has 93 octane gas? Please post on the 3 threads the meet time and address of where we are
to meet Sunday morning in Mt. Ida, AR. I sure hope the weather will be good June 3,4,& 5!

Julie's suggestion of using Bob's Food City parking lot sounds good. If you decide
to use the bank parking lot, I strongly advise getting their permission beforehand.
I see from Google that I need to allow 3-hours to drive to Mt. Ida and refuel there.
Either 10:00 am or 10:30 am meet time in Mt. Ida on 5 June will work for me.
Thanks!

Okay, so we'll plan on meeting here at 10:30 am Sunday, June 5th:
Bob's Food City
742 Highway 270 E, Mt Ida, AR 71957
(870) 867-3551
I called and confirmed that these guys provide 93 octane fuel. According to Google Maps, they're within a mile of Bob's Food City.
TIGER MART (EXXON)
439 HWY 270 E
MOUNT IDA, AR 71957
(870) 867-3513
This is the route I'm planning:

I've never personally been to Mount. Nebo, but I expect there may be some decent group photo opportunities there (Jerome may have some input here). For those interested in eating at this point, I remember Jerome mentioning a decent restaurant here as well.
My plans are to head back down 7 towards Hot Springs, and stop at Nimrod Lake. This will be another great photo opportunity for anyone that wants to take part. Once we make it back to Hot Springs I thought we might make an appearance at Buffalo Wild Wings for a drink and/or food. I'll probably just leave it for the group to decide whether or not to eat at Mount. Nebo, or wait until we make it back to Hot Springs.
I plan on making a preliminary run (rain or shine) this weekend, in order to make sure there will be no surprises along the way. After experiencing the benefits of carrying 2-way radios on the BMT, I would recommend anyone that has them at their disposal to bring them along.
I've never personally driven Hwy 27 but I know that 7 can be a fairly well traveled highway, and although I have driven with many of you before, I would ask that everyone abide by the same standards expected on any other organized group run.
This is my first attempt at putting something like this together, so if there's anything I've left off, or if you have any questions, please feel free to chime in!
I almost started a completely new "confirmed June 5th" thread, but I thought it might just make things more confusing.

Mason, As Hwy 155 reaches the top of Mount. Nebo there is a "T" intersection. We will want to go RIGHT at that intersection and proceed
to the Visitors Center (on right) and park in their parking lot. There is a restroom (open on Sunday?) inside the Visitors Center and a wonderful vista of the Arkansas River Valley out the back door. Upon leaving the visitors center, we will want to turn RIGHT on Hwy 155 and follow it to the roads end at Sunset Point (another great vista). (It is okay to park on the grass there.) Upon leaving Sunset Point, I suggest we retrace Hwy 155 back and pass straight through the "T" intersection, take a LEFT at stopsign and proceed to Sunrise Point (another great vista) for group pictures. Returning back to the "T" intersection, we will turn RIGHT to descend Mount. Nebo on Hwy 155.
I don't think there are any restaurants on Mt. Nebo, but there is a Colton's Restaurant on East side of Hwy 7 (one block south of intersection with I-40) in nearby Russellville, AR.
I have driven Hwy 27 (2 years ago) from Dardanelle to Danville and the highway was in good condition. Sunday, 5 June, I will be taking Hwy 27 from Dardanelle to Mount Ida and will be able to report to you on highway conditions upon arrival at Bob's Mart parking lot.
I will not be returning to Hot Springs with you, so I hope the group will be wanting to eat a late lunch in Russellville. I will be bringing my two 2-way radios with me. I hope to have my new rear diffuser installed next week (ups delivery this Friday). I can hardly wait to drive my S2000 on 5 June.
