I'm a student too... I completely understand where you're coming from. If you really want to participate you have to work with your instructors to make sure all the loose ends are tied up before you head out for a fun weekend. That's where the whole careful planning comes into play.

Or like I said, you could always head up a day late like some people did. It still leaves you with 2 days of amazing driving.

...and about "school>dragon", you'll be singing a different tune once you're up there! haha
incase you misses it I already said my teacher is a "no excuses" kinda of guy.

school>Dragon

Good job>dragon

i'll have plenty of time to do all the things I want to when im done with school with a good job.

And incase you missed it, I suggested that if you really wanted to participate you should head up a day late like some other guys do (avoiding the whole missing school part altogether)

Isn't that what the Evo is for? That thing would be sick at the dragon! In fact, I believe killboy drives an Evo. We wont shun you for tagging along in an Evo. We know that you're an S girl at heart. Hell we had corvettes crashing this weekend... and Rob's SRT4.
I've debated this but the first time I go, I would really like it to be in the S. I can't justify spending tons of extra money for gas for another car right now or I would bring them both and we would just switch back and forth. I've been wanting to go since the first time I heard about it. Things just never pan out the way they need to...

I missed 2 days of classes to attend this event. Stefanie had to cancel attending to help her sister move, but she said that she skips classes to attend also.
I was in the Art department.... anything could slide there

Good to hear ya'll had fun. I wish I still lived/visited there when the Dragon was a mere 40 minutes away from the apt.

In for DBR 08!

YES DO IT! That's what we've been trying to tell you for the last 20 posts! I'm glad that you're finally seeing it our way.

.... I don't know anything about that stuff. At my university we don't have finals, papers or speeches to do. In fact, all we do is think of ways to skip classes to go driving. I'm a Poli Sci major and english minor... I don't know anything about studying for impossible exams and writing lengthy papers.

But seriously, that's why I planned ahead for this stuff. Before I left last Wednesday I had 3 rough drafts and 2 final drafts to write. I had a biology test and 2 history test, not to mention other classes I had to attend. Yes I did miss a little sleep those days, but it was well worth the trouble. I'm not trying to strike up animosity with you or anything. You said that you'd like to make it up there one time, and I'm just trying to make you see that we ALL have priorities before driving trips. But if you really want to do it, you find a way to make it happen. It's that simple.

I expected that we'd be battling you guys with your excuses. No hard feelings dude. We're all (well, mostly) here for the same reason. Really, I mean no animosity.

It was the best weekend of my life!

Thankfully it was quite uneventful (in the good way)... except for Sunday when I was forced to induce a spin on hellbender that probably saved my ass! If you care to hear details I'll fill you in.
