Tech Day
looks like i'm in...
i actually ordered my G2 w/ 2 day shipping on Friday (right after posting that i hadn't ordered), and it should be here any day now.
i did some looking, and it appears that there's no real performance improvements from the debaffling, but that the sounds changes a bit. who knows, if there's time to spare, i might give it a whirl... but i may just lend help to others instead.
planning to bring my 4 jackstands, torque wrench, and wheel sized socket for my stuff... also any other tools i might need for the G2 job.
anything else people might need that i should bring?

Well since I can't make the tech day... I decided to atleast provide the French Maids. ENJOY!

*change of plans for me. I will not be able to attend due to the fact that my fiance set up our last meeting with our priest for our wedding.
if i get out early, i will rush up there.
thanks for the PM though.

i've dremeled mine also, and the sound's not too aggressive or anything, just a little louder sucking sound than stock. but, it could also be due to changing to a sprint filter and spoon tb.
just be aware that you may need to open it up maybe once a month to vacuum out bugs, sand, debris. etc. i've found two killer bees since.
dead, of course.
thanks for letting me know!!
are you still planning to be there? maybe i'll listen to yours first before tearing out any plastic.
did you also seal up the resonator chamber?
finally -- looks to be a chilly weekend coming. temps to be in the high 30's in the morning. i'm wondering how the G2 is going to do...
the kit came in today though...

i'm not sure if i'll be able to make it depending on the weather... i hate driving long distances in the rain. i have my daughter this weekend also, so i may bring her along as well. she still remembers and asked if we're going to voodoo bbq!
i also promised to bring her to toys r us since she just made the honor roll.
phil: yes, i did seal the chamber, very quick and easy to do mod.
i've found it easier to find a sharp knife, carved off most of the wall off, and dremeled the rest. it took about 30 min., not too bad to do on a rainy day.
also, be sure to know where the bolts are to take it off - i had to run back inside to look it up on s2ki.
edit: note to self - bring some goggles!
justin: still waiting on that exhaust!!!
i'm getting too impatient for this jdm crap! haha... how's your turbo holdin' up?
p.s. does anyone know someone local who's good at fiberglass/bondo? i've got a custom project i'm planning on getting done.
