Default Update on my S!

So in the last month, I've acquired a few parts to solve some problems I've had with my car.

Biggest mechanical issue was the clutch slave. I'm sure this went out because it was not last replaced with genuine Honda. Got a Honda salve and learned how to bleed the system via gravity method. Wasn't that bad. Getting something narrow enough on the bolts was the hardest part probably.

Next, I'd been looking at the Megan driveshaft spacers. As most of you know, I'm lowered a good bit so vibration under acceleration was a big issue for me. Anyways, a stanced buddy of mine decided to sell his car ad part out all his aftermarket parts so I scooped up his blox spacers for $75. Install was easy. Hardest part was breaking loose the oem bolts. Simple, simple mod worth EVERY penny! Only had it up to 65-70 so far but didn't feel the slightest vibration coming from the rear.

The next thing I did was a ball joint that had been pitted and popped when I turned the steering wheel. Probably from being lowered and not being able to find a good alignment shop. I think the toe just pulled the front end back and forth causing it to flatten or something in one spot. Install was easy. The stupid cotter pin on the castle nut was the biggest pita though!

And yesterday I got my Megan front bumpsteer kit in the mail. It seemed like it was gonna be very simple and would have been but I fought the front drivers side bolt for a long time trying to get the oem one out and new one in. The radiator hose support bracket and bolt were tough to get to also. Other than that, the rest of it installed pretty easy.

Next to order is a rear bumpsteer kit and rear tires. Low life has taken its apparent toll on my car. Decided it was time to get all this crap out of the way before I started having bigger problems. I don't want to sit on the side of the road again for 5 hours because of a blowout when it's all preventable. Just tryin to stay 1 step ahead now.

Oh yeah, I got another box this week too. And yes, it's a part for my S! Deal was just too good to pass up!

Though I'd give someone something positive to read since there's not a lot of activity going on. Maybe it'll motivate someone else to DO WORK!

Sweet update! If the vibration under acceleration persists or returns, you'll probably end up having to do the ]CV joint cup swap. So what tires are you gonna order?
