Conversion for Japanese to English Sat Nav/Tv system?

hey guys, i got the same prob! i'm from Malta and i got a Japanese s2k.. it has the dvd/satnav installed in the booth and a screen fitted in the dash. but it doesn't even turn on :/ if any of you come up with something how to make it work, pls let me know too
