I have not... Interesting. But I'd wait for the 350SHD model which has HDMI output, fullHD, wireless network and an FTP server (the other models you have to connect via USB to copy files).

It doesn't have PVR functions though...

Aust,

Have you bought anything yet?

I just saw the following article and thought of you! This would be a way to solve your requirement to have your TV as a remote second screeen from your PC ...

No I didn't but that looks pretty sharp! I've seen a few media players that would probably suit me well and came up with a different solution.

I'm thinking either a modded x-box with a bigger hd and set up on a wireless network. Then I could just buy a cheaper pc and use it as a basic d/l manager and ftp server. Even thought about buying a cheap little EEE PC considering I could plug it into the tv if I needed to run a bigger screen.

What do you think?

I also found a media setup with a 500gb hd for about $350 which would do the job but cant find it again now

This would probably do me until I can be bothered updating to a HD tv

That looks ok Aust, just not sure how the interface will be if you have a lot of music and/or movies, looks like there will be a lot of scrolling to do.

Interesting concept.

I have something similar to that. I works real good.

Also it looks like that PC deal comes with a 20" monitor only? You might wanna upgrade to something like a 22" or 24" widescreen LCD monitor. I can get a 22" Acer crystal bright LCD monitor or a 24" one for a great price. PM me if interested.
