Default Driving in sydney this week w/ WYD

I have a job interview at ~6pm in Walker Street North Sydney at 6pm Thursday and I'll be coming from Wollongong. Can anyone tell me if its going to be out of control as a result of WYD? I can reschedule for next week but would rather get it done tomorrow and can leave early (3-4pm).

Also they've told me that there's street parking on Walker street after 6pm and I should be able to get a spot is that pretty right? If not can anyone suggest a spot? I'll be in the work ute so not too fussed about security as long as I can get home

Cheers.

The tunnel will take you under all the fuss. I doubt it will be a problem and will probably be easier than usual.

Walker St has parking after 6pm but if there is none available there is a council parking station on Berry St between Miller and Walker.

Good luck with the interview. If you get it and are based in North Sydney you'll have to come to yum cha with us.

Cheers I thought that'd be the case. If I get it there's a chance I'll be based in North Syd for a month or two but I'm guessing I'll probably be based at Port Botany from the get go.

Still it will mean that I'll be moving back to sydney somewhere so there'll be catch ups a plenty

Interestingly it only took 1.5 hours which is pretty standard. I left at 350 and traffic was not worth mentioning and even better I managed to get a legal park and offered the job! Just have to wait and view their uh.... package and be sure its worth moving away from this....

The car that was so keen to get on the freeway that they managed to flip over the guard rail on arthur street was worth mentioning. If only the tree didn't stop him so suddenly they may have been successful!

Looking on realestate.com.au if I wanted to rent something similar it'd cost 3 times the price. I couldn't sleep in a place that was costing me >$50k per year in dead money (rent).

WTF!

$50K/yr in rent is a lot of money. If you could afford that much in rent would it not be better to buy?

Mate like I said there's no way I'd do it I was just getting an idea for what the difference is between w'gong and sydney.

I'll either be finding something cheaper to rent or buying depending on where the other half will be working.
