I find it a little misleading how Ipswich is being reported as if it is very separate to Brisbane. It's accurate in the council/LGA sense, but Ipswich forms part of our western suburbs. I mean, without Ipswich, we wouldn't have any westies to pick on!

 

it is a little seperate... aren't they officially their own city?? Can't belive how much new coverage this is getting here... but mind you awesome to see. Mike wanna come out at 3am?? heading out for photo ops in town. I'm aiming for awesome sunrise pics over the flooded CBD..

 

They are separate in terms of LGA (local government area), but not culturally. Ipswich forms part of our western suburbs (along with places like Fernvale, Redbank, Gatton, and Lowood). They're our Westies mate!

Nah dude... can't do 3am. LOL. Well... if I do go along with it, where would you like to meet? I was going to go for a walk near the Kurilpa Bridge in the city, but at a more friendly time in the morning.
