Highly un-safe, I can just picture a wave of accidents involving ipads to emerge lol

I found out the other day that the co-founder of apple i forget his name, he's the CEO of Disney, so it all makes sense now why apple is using its platform's to sell music movies.

looking at it from a business prospective how smart are they!

Leaving the hype aside Aus, is it really just a big iPhone that can't make phone calls ?I can just picture it now Monday morning on the train into the city .... Dozens of people are going to be playing with their new ipads!

Pretty much. An iPhone for the visually (and hearing) impaired.

It's effectively a great screen, on which I can check my email, surf the web, watch movies, show off my photos, read a book etc.

I don't see it as a replacement for the iPhone. I only got the Wifi edition as I doubt it will leave the house. I have an iPhone for that. And I have a computer in the office (in fact several).

I expect it will travel between the loungeroom, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and is really just a convenient way for me to access information on the move.
