Ahh, so a knock off of a very common phone. More like an Aurion than a Commodore.

I jumped the bandwagon and got myself an iphone 3g, it's also my first internet phone.. and MAN I CANT BELIEVE IT! it's amazing!

I'm on a fricken shoot 600kms away from my computer and I can facebook with my bloody friends! It's one of those things where you just don't know how you ever lived WITHOUT it all this time in your life.

I know you could always do this with your BlackBerry's etc, but with the iphone it's my introduction to mobile internet as well as the coolness of this actual phone - so it's a double shot of impact for my first impressions.

The only problem at the moment is, i'm on a SOUL sim card and contract, for some reason why I plugged it into the iphone - it worked and shows up as an Optus carrier.

It does give me internet access, but i'm too damn scared to use it much as I don't know how I would be charged for it. I've already downloaded 10MB since 2 weeks ago and i'm expecting a huge bill coming in at the end of the month...

My iTunes library has gone for some reason. Deleted. Empty. Nothing. This includes all music, podcasts, videos and applications. I didn't delete anything nor change anything which is mighty strange. Then I found my Music folder in my wife's folder which has my iTunes folder there. I asked her if she did anything to which the reply is always "no". Anyway I copied the files back over to my own folder and dragged them into iTunes again but now I have to re-authorise it so all my song ratings, etc. on my iphone are all reset. Damn this iTunes authorisation and syncing thing.

So when is firmware 2.1 coming out? I heard it was sooner rather than later.

Stay on topic. This thread is about how good the iPhone is!

I've actually been having issues with mine. All third party apps again failed to start. Apparently it is a known fault when you have too many apps.

I've just done a restore and we'll see how it goes.
