For me it gave me more apps, particularly Cycorder video for your 3G and the Winterboard apps. I was able to customize my (behind) screen.

Im using the xGPS for the 1st time and i dont like it for driving, the voice is computer generated (not voice recorded), and i cant change the option for the fastest route instead of the shortest route going through the backstreets. I ended up hiring a TomTom to navigate driving and i really like it, but AVIS car hire could have provided me an updated one with new maps >=(

However...im using the xGPS to navigate by walking around the towns in France and found it very useful, once i find a McDonalds i download the maps to where im walking to lol.

That is entirely ridiculous. Under that law it would be legal to use a mobile phone as a phone in a cradle but not as a navigation device.

It would of course still be legal to use a navigation device in a separate cradle.

So basically they want us to have so many devices stuck to our windscreen we can no longer see out of them.

Not to mention it would be impossible to enforce.
