Nah not yet, that generally happens a few weeks down the track with Vista........ On that note I think there is some compatibilty issues with some apps from Cydia

Quick question, is the GPS navigation free to use on the iphone?

I'm currently using the Nokia 6110 Navigator (free GPS, even without simcard), but thinking of re-signing up with 3 for the iPhone 3GS this friday.

It's free, but maps are downloaded from Google maps so it uses your bandwidth which depending on your plan could be could incur fees.

Also, it's not a full on voice assisted turn by turn navigation.

There is a pretty good turn by turn nav program called xGPS. It's free but only runs on jailbreaked phones. Oh, and it too uses Google maps but caches them so you don't generate a lot of traffic.

Thanks! That's great, hopefully the xGPS will be useful for overseas trips. If not, i should be happy with the phone upgrade anyway.

With the xGPS it is wise to cache a whole load of maps for thr area you are going to in advance. That way you don't pay roaming fees.
