I'm sure the experts will correct me (with precise measurements) if I'm wrong but I doubt that top up or top down would make much difference to standing quarter times for a stock S2000.

It certainly would make a measurable difference to Elaug because he's doing over 200Km/Kr at the finish but a standard S2000 is doing less than 150Km/Hr and quite probably for about 7 of the 14 seconds involved it's doing less than 100 Km/Hr.
