Would you need some sort of filter/grill to stop debris (like small rocks) from getting scooped?
Good question. From everything I have read on this site, the general consensus is that it's not really required, if you don't use your car much (like me).

Some more stuff was delivered this morning, so I am able to fit my steering wheel and passenger seat.

Sparco wheel fitted;

I've fitted many steering wheels in the past (not to s2k's) and always got the horn to work... not this time

Any ideas?

Ducting looks the goods, I'll be doing that in the near future but I'm thinking of removing the whole dust shield lol!

That would help to cool the brakes. I left mine on so I had something to attach the ducting hose to

Have to have two front seats to continue to run in my class at the Sprint. So in goes a Sparco Sprint V!

It's sitting higher than the drivers side. Not sure if that's due to the rails (different make) or just the seat design.

mcopley, how does the car feel with all the weight removed?

I will one day turn the S into a track only car I think.

it's not my hoop but i would imagine it would cost a fair few pennies
My Recaro SPG is sitting just the same as the stock height on the driver side. For me I can't go lower because of that stupid lump for the gearbox if I go lower I can't adjust the seat so lame

Surprisingly enough, it feels great . Removing weight is absolutely the best mod that you can make to a car (if you don't mind it becoming really hot and noisy).

As I have removed bits gradually over time I have never noticed a massive change at once. It would be really interesting to drive a "heavy" AP1 back to back and see how it feels. Any Perth volunteers?

You mean the exhaust right? That's the lump that stopped me from having my seat low and all the way back. Anyway... if you take a big hammer to it you will get enough clearance.
