HELP!
Thanks again for that RedRover, went down to see Carl yesterday, certainly proved that Eastern had stuffed up
as well as overlooking a number of other items that should
of been checked at service time. Clutch not perfect, but a hell
of a lot better than it was. May or may not have to replace,
will just see how it goes. Just working out the best way to stick it
up eastern, any ideas. Apparently Honda Australia won't really
care all that much from what I understand and Eastern will
just say I should not have gone somewhere else and they would have fixed if I went back again and again.............
Anyway my advise to all you Melbourne Guys is DO NOT TOUCH EASTERN HONDA FOR ANY SERVICE WORK AT ALL.
Can only recomend Carl at CRS very highly, he was happy for me to be in the workshop observing and him explaining what was being done and why. Lots of experience and knowledge and takes pride in his work.
By the way guys I have changed my name, the member formerly
known as peterf (pretty boring sounding really!) is now KingAir,
after the planes we have.
Need some rear tyres, they look a lot like how Vuey describes his.
Think I'll stick with the S03's. Anyone able to recomend a good dealer
who can supply and get the wheel alignment right? Call me paranoid,
but after my Eastern experience I'm thinking that a lot of the bigger chains/franchises probably just use, to quote AusS2000, trained monkeys.
Thanks to you as well AusS2000 for your input.
OT I know but speaking of Eastern experiences, have just booked to
go to Thailand and Laos, most of the time being spent in Laos,
which many have told me is still relatively unstuffed by tourism.
Will be nice to see Thailand again, having spent sometime there around six years ago. We head of at the end of August, both looking forward to a break.
Cheers everyone

That's not a KingAir, I tried to put a photo up but
couldn't get it to work.
There would be heaps of photos if you are interested on google.
Interesting mix of cars in your photo.
Cheers

Just thought I would update you all on this saga.
Wrote a lengthy letter (polite) to Peter Berka, yes that is the name of service manager at Eastern pointing out their lack of knowledge,
mistakes they made and asked for some compensation, said if I didn't get sometihing would sue. 2 emails back and forward,
last one "while not accepting any liablity etc, but as a gesture of goodwill etc am willing to provide FOC a new clutch. 3 hours later it's delivered to me at work. CRS put in last week and car is now so much better, all problems gone.
So for any of you out there who think you have been treated badly or whatever don't just accept it, make a noise, and you may just get something as well.

anyways, well done with that one! Eastern is where i bought my car from, they told me that they won dealer of the year many times in a row...but from what i've heard from everyone I don't see how that was possible!
