Hi Blackie

Carl from CRS Automotive (9776 1505) is looking at selling his Honda Prelude courtesy cars. Haggle a bit on the price and it could be okay.

Against:
highish K's
notchback design not that pratical (especially if the dogs are wet)
Prob not as quick as a DC2 Integra

For:
Cheaper than a DC2ish Integra
Good mech condition,
4ws, Wheels car of the year, pop-up headlights, Simmons wheels & sunroof - perfect for reliving the early 90's.
Automatic
Reliable s**tbox that should give years of hassle free daily driver service.

Have you driven a Ford Ka? No auto option, dead slow and cheaply made but still fun to throw at roundabouts. They would be cheap these days I guess.

A few weirdoes from a Jap import site. The prices are loony tunes but they sometimes have some interesting cars (with even more

Thanks for the comments guys.

Late 1990s Integra. I'm afraid lack of space and 2 doors count against it.
Great shape though.

Fiesta. Interior not as big and practical as a Jazz at around the same price.

EM1 Coupe. Same deal as the Integra.

CRS Automotive's Prelude. I take it whenever I get my car serviced there. Same issue as the Integra and Civic coupe though.

EG Civic. I quite like this one but prices vary from around $5k to $11k however and kms are usually quite high. There's the Breeze 1.3L which I'm told to steer clear of, then there's the GLi 1.5L and then the Si and VTi both at 1.6L???

I think it's come down to an EG Civic, EK Civic or a Jazz. It's whether or not spending the extra $5-10k for a Jazz is worth it.

Here's an update. We decided to spend a bit more and get the Jazz. We found one and will be picking it up next week.

The last time I bought a used car was 10 years ago (my first car ) so I'm a little unsure as to the process, papers, etc. Where do I check if there's money owing on the car or if the seller is the actual owner, stolen, etc.?

Beleive you can search vicroads online for free, but info is not guaranteed, but as taaxed says for $20 or so think that if the info provided is inaccurate and say there is money owing they accept liablity.
Just have a good look through their website, sure you will find all the info you need.
Cograts on the purchase, you have been looking for some time now,
and I'm sure you are glad that it's all over now.
