Default My DIY El Cheapo $25 dollar Console Cover

Seeing as I'm a student with not a lot of money after the purchase of the S2K but wanting to get that sophisticated look of the AUS console covers without the price, I decided to try DIY .

I just bought leather like stretch vinyl in black and just went for it. After a few hours this is the end result. I think ill use the rest to make a good copy but damn I know why the guys who makes console covers want to charge $250 or more for their product... Basically it was a PAIN in THE REAR END

I know its not the best thing out there but it kinda does its job well so im happy and yes I know it doesnt match the leather seats perfectly but its because of the flash from my camera

I'd rather the JDM seats.

Least they won't heat up when you leave the roof down anywhere......

Well the car is registered as 2000 but the car was actually made in 2000 December so its basically a 2001.

I think there are just two Type V S2K's in New Zealand and one of them is mine.

I got my car with the special edition midnight pearl colour which is dark purplish and at night black. Got the best of both worlds aye?

The VGS is a special steering system which makes driving effortless and the car oversteers like crazy in low speeds.

Um havent done much on the car except the AVS S5 alarm and the pioneer 5850 head deck oh yeah and the 35% tints.

Oh yeah got it for 23k Australian dollars hahahahaha

Here are some pics

Nice! Is it possible to do something useful with the sat nav? I remember looking at a JDM import in the UK when I was buying mine about 5 years ago and at the time it could not be converted to English.

does anyone know how easy it is to register or get compliance for imported s2ks? I know there are some in Australia...
