Default Perhaps I'm being silly here (coloured light addicts rejoice)...

AusS2000 pointed me to Modifry's web site full of interesting mods for your S2K. One of them (see here) links a light when your VTEC operates.

Now this got me thinking (I just know it's bad for me )...

If we were to link this signal to trigger neons / high intensity LEDs in the front grill of your S2K you could have one colour to come on during normal engine operation and then another colour as soon as you VTEC. I'm thinking green / yellow for normal operating and then brilliant red for VTEC.

Now that wouldn't that look cool in someone's rear vision mirror !

Hmmmm... now perhaps you could link that to under car lighting...

I feel the need to solder...

Easy enough to do. You just need a relay for the neons...

Red neons under the car that only light up when you hit vtec....Hmmm....That'd freak ppl out at night. But it would also look really wanky to some as well.

wil..

Have a look at some of the kits by MacGyver and coxmw that light up your wind deflector.

They are generally triggered by the brakes but a VTEC signal could be used instead or added. You should suggest it to them.

That's a really good idea spakko!

1. you should hook it up to the headlight washer switch and point it to the side/pedestrian
2. Hook it up to car rego plate masking device

Oh, I've got a Rick's 7/8 windscreen. I am going to make a clone tomorrow, before I put it in, just in case this one get smashed by the convertible top. Does any one want a copy? It will be around $AUD100. It will light up nicely as AusS2000 mentioned.

Also do I hear a GB on this guy's stuff?
If so could I make my first order for this one

Is that the DCI? I have the original one for the Sony (uses remote jack instead of LED) but haven't installed yet as my older DCU is working fine. However Modifry's one has speed sensitive volume control. Perrrrrfect!

Does your work with an alpine unit Auss2000?
It's his new one that has a number of extra features but I like the folder up/down as well as speed volume sens.

Yep, other people see green/yellow/red in their rear view and then you see red/blue in yours...

Isn't it illegal in Perth to have any other coloured lights on your vehicle? I'm pretty sure it is here in Vic...
