Anyone catch it? I believe there was an S2000 in the studio.
There was also some footage of the Lambo Murcielago.

Yep, I saw it.
They were trying to re-do the theme song using car engine notes, with a red S2000 being one of the many used.
The Lambo was driven by Richard Hammond in Spain.
Not sure what episode number it was but it was apparently the last of the season.

I'm not sure which episode the ones on SBS are up to, but here's a couple it might be:
Season 5: episode 3 (Nurburgring Blue)

Apparently the UK pollies are calling for the show to be axed because of their "obsession with speed" and that the Hammond incident was "an accident waiting to happen". The new series should be airing in the UK this Sunday night.
